In order to not only meet, but exceed the new expectations and demands of an expanding customer base, Buyatab needed to find a smart way to transform from a startup phase infrastructure into a scalable and flexible IT environment. “Relying on colocation infrastructure outsourced to a local IT shop simply wasn’t a viable solution anymore,” says Chris Falk, Buyatab’s Chief Technology Officer. “Our plans for growth at required a significant upgrade in security, availability and reliability.” Additionally, Buyatab’s technology team recognized that the company needed to make a transition towards continuous deployment. Falk had completed three major migrations to the cloud before. He knew that the cloud was a viable option for the company. “In fact, this was not a decision, it was an obvious choice that we move to the cloud.”
